JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
With your passion for travel and cruise knowledge, the Sales Consultant will help customers find the perfect itinerary and book their dream trip. Responsible to upsell cruise packages and maximize revenue for the company. Always ready to deliver top-notch service with professionalism and a smile.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must possess the ability to increase company revenue through promotion of future cruise sales, provide all information relating to future cruise itineraries and be familiar with all aspects of company products, individual ship’s layout, categories and destinations

Must be able to conduct a professional presentation in front of a large audience if needed.

Answers inbound sales calls, inquiries, and customer service calls

Answers caller’s questions concerning all aspects of cruise vacations and options, closing the sale of a cruise booking, and “upselling” cruise packages to maximize revenue

Provides high levels of service to the customers with professionalism and cruise product knowledge

To sell cruises and bespoke cruise holidays to worldwide destinations

Deal with new and existing customers in an efficient and professional manner

Quoting cruise holidays and offering different options including excursions

Dealing with customer enquiries over the phone and by email
-
Provide an excellent customer service
-
Performs other duties as may be assigned by either the immediate supervisor or senior management
Required Qualifications and Skills
-
Minimum 1 years’ experience in sales at hotel, cruise line or travel/hospitality company, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Minimum high school or equivalent degree is mandatory. College or University degree is a plus

Excellent English language skills required; bi-lingual skills preferred

Must be highly proficient in sales and closing techniques

Able to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems

Good working knowledge of cruise ships and on-board cabins and packages
-
Proven sales ability within the Travel Industry

Excellent communication skills and telephone manner

Self-motivated, target orientated and able to work as part of a team

Motivated by meeting customer needs

PC literate and comfortable in using travel technology

Relishes new opportunities
