JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
A Logistics Clerk is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of goods, materials, and products between locations. This includes tracking shipments, managing inventory, and coordinating with suppliers and customers. Logistics Clerks must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments

Preparing bills of lading

Checking orders and invoices
-
Matching orders with invoices and packing slips
-
Processing shipments and updating records
-
Reporting inventory levels and delivery times
-
Resolving discrepancies between bills of lading and freight invoices

Comply with all company safety standards, policies, rules and regulations

General dispatch duties
-
Various office and administrative duties, which may include answering phones, assisting drivers, customer support, miscellaneous real time, daily, and weekly reporting and communications

Audit of logs and trip reports and other DOT reporting, maintenance of files, customer service interaction, resolution of driver and customer requests

Maintenance and distribution of route books, daily interface with drivers, assist with driver coverage of vacation and overflow freight

Perform other job-related duties as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in using computers, particularly logistics software

Ability to learn and use a variety of software programs required for successful job performance

Adaptable to change and attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Inventory knowledge
-
Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure

Lean Enterprise Certification preferred but not required
-
Record details of inquiries, comments and/or complaints and develop steps necessary to resolve issues, ensure the CDM's and BTM's are informed about issues and resolution

Good with PC Operations including MS Word, PowerPoint
Education and Experience Requirements

High School and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

2 years' or above relevant working experience in warehouse operation
-
High school diploma required with 1-2 years experience in an office, transport industry is preferred
-
Must have two years of logistic/warehouse/tool crib experience

Must have knowledge of disbursing and receiving documents
