Training and Development Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position Summary

The Training and Development Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees, assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees.​

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute training initiatives that are in line with the company's mission and objectives

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and create customized course

  • Deliver engaging training sessions using a variety of methods, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning platforms

  • Assess the efficacy of training programs and adjust as required

  • Foster and sustain connections with external training providers and vendors

  • Develop career development plans for employees and provide guidance and support in achieving their goals

  • Define and supervise staff training and development by regularly conducting training needs assessments 

  • Enhance staff knowledge and skills to keep up with industry changes

  • Work closely with our VP HR to establish and manage a training budget and ensure cost-effective delivery of training programs

  • Examine and choose teaching materials from various suppliers to ensure high-quality training courses 

  • Keep the company’s training programs and plans relevant training by maintaining and updating our knowledge base regularly 

  • Examine the effectiveness of implemented training and the work of educators to optimize future courses and techniques.  Create and maintain training records and reports

  • Perform other job-related duties as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees and stakeholders at all levels

  • Display robust project management abilities, with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training programs using a variety of methods

  • Demonstrate proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning platforms

  • Display robust project management abilities, with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously

  • Possess the capability to operate individually or as part of a team

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (master’s degree is preferred)

  • Proven experience as a Training and Development, Coaching, Management or a similar role

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
